We are delighted to announce that we have FREE Double bass group lessons starting with Huw at 10:30 -11 on Saturdays from January 2026! We can lend you a bass. Please contact admin@pbcms.org.uk for enrolment.

The price per head is:

  • One ensemble: ₤7/week, apart from Jnr Winds, £3 and choir, free.
  • Two or more £7 ensembles: ₤13/week. 3rd group still free.

If any of you have a financial difficulty then please speak to any of the committee. Fees are paid half termly. We request polite notice if you wish to stop, preferably half a term, please.

Group Rehearsals
run on Saturday mornings:

  • Super Strings 8:55am – 9:40am. £7
    Approx. Grades beginner-3
  • Amber Strings 8:55am – 9:40am. £7
    Approx. Grades 3-5+
  • Choir All ages welcome 9:40-10:00 (no fee)
  • Phoenix Strings 10:05am-10:45am. £7
    Approx. Grades 5-8+
  • Da Capo Orchestra 10:05 am – 10:45am £7
    Ages 18+ All Levels Welcome
  • Junior Wind Band 10:00 -10:30 (beginners to gr3) £3 per session
  • Senior Wind Band 10:45am – 11:30am.£7
    Approx. Grades 4-8, this is open for children, with additional D.C. members on invitation only
  • Chamber Groups run from 8:30 to 11:30. Please note that the quartets which start after Phoenix Strings will now run from 10:45 -11:30. £7
    Experienced players on invitation
  • Junior Chamber Concert for beginners to grade 5. Dress is smart casual. Free entry for anyone.

  • Full Orchestras Concert and Senior Chamber Concert: Dress: Children wear white tops, black trousers/skirts (not too short please), clean shoes (no trainers). Gentlemen wear black tie and djs, ladies can wear all black. Please present yourself tidily, you are on stage.

Tickets at the door only, £7 for the waged. Everyone welcome.
